Continuing the theme of making music after change, 'off walden' was began in late 2004, but unlike 'l'inizio,' recording and mixing took place over six weeks or so. Completed in early 2005, 'off walden' represented a refinement of technique and process, with more elaborately constructed sonic elements, yet simpler and more focused arrangements. 'Off walden' saw a thematic shift to more personal material and paeans to a more personal past.
